An engineer / MBA with a passion for global enterprise. Fueled by more than 20 years of hands-on operational experience in upstream oil & gas, Scott McLean has been involved in growing business in 19 countries in Asia, the Americas, the European Union, and the Middle East.
Scott has held Global Director positions in business development with large cap oil Service and OEM companies. Operational strengths are in both drilling and production with field experience in South America and the United States.
Venezuelan born, to a U.S. and Peruvian parent, a dual national, fully bilingual, Scott grew up in a myriad of Latin American countries prior to graduating as a petroleum engineer from the University of Southern California; later completing his education with a MBA, finance concentration, from Rice University. Scott McLean has served (2010-2013) as a board member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers Gulf Coast Sector.
Emilio (Lin) Giralt has over 35 years work experience of which 25 years have been in consulting. He started his consulting career with McKinsey, Booz-Allen & Hamilton and ADLittle and founded Lambda Consultants in 1997.
His main focus is corporate strategy, organization, processes and financial evaluations for M&A and business planning. He has strong experience in the financial, IT, telecom, restaurant-tourism and Oil and Gas sectors. He is an expert in new business development and evaluatoins, market entry and establishment of business models for new businesses. He has significant experience in logistics, having redesigned fresh product logistics for a supermarket chain and package handling processes for a medium sized freight handler. In a recent financial evaluation project, Lin evaluated various new investments in fixed assets and Buy vs Rent alternatives for PDVSA Naval totaling over USD 3,000 MM in investments. Prior to consulting he worked as a construction manager (4 years) completing various commercial buildings in USA and Venezuela, he also worked in agribusiness (6 years), building and helping the start up of a meatpacking plant and a mixed use farm raising cattle and hot peppers.
He holds a B.A. from Duke University (1977), a Master of Architecture from Rice University (1982), and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania (1992). He is fluent in English and Spanish and has a knowledge of basic German and Portuguese. Since 2011 he has been an Adjunct Lecturer at Rice’s MBA program and has taught undergraduate Business Administration courses at UH/Downtown, and Dali, Wuhan and Fudan Universities in China.
An accomplished Energy Industry Executive, who grew up in Venezuela, Phil Lomax has over 25 years’ experience in identifying market opportunities and operating solutions to drive optimal revenue and profit growth.
Having held Senior Vice President and Leadership roles with Express Energy Services, Weatherford International, Wood Group, and Tetra Technologies; his responsibilities in addition to leading upstream operations have included cultivating / building strategic alliances, joint ventures, and partnerships. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Phil’s International experience includes leading operations is Saudi Arabia, UAE, UK, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina and Mexico.
Gary Pidcock is a senior professional engineer and manager with over 35 years of worldwide upstream energy experience. He has occupied positions in Engineering, Operations and Business Development with two large Operators and one major International Service Company.
Gary has been heavily involved in a number of frontier projects, including the Arctic exploration programs in Canada and the Peruvian Amazon jungle and Deep Water Exploration in India where he acted as project manager. In the last 10 years Gary has been involved in the development of several startups in South America including drilling / workover services and general project management.
Born in the UK, Gary has both British and Canadian citizenship and speaks English and is functionally fluent in Spanish. Education B.S. (honors) Civil Engineering – Leeds University, England. Certified as a Canadian Professional Engineer
A geologist with more than 28 years of experience in the Latin-American oil industry achieved after working in national institutions, service companies, and worldwide operators – serving as Vice President of Exploration for Occidental Petroleum and Sinopec Argentina.
In 2012 founded Oleumpetra LLC, a consulting company devoted to oil and gas exploration and development projects. Luis is Geoscience Director and Professor at Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and Professor at Buenos Aires Technological Institute (ITBA). Stinco has written several books and technical papers focused on hydrocarbon´s exploration, reservoir characterization and petrophysics related to conventional and unconventional reservoirs. He has also been awarded with the Konex 2013 Award of Science and Technology and the Merit Diploma from the University of Buenos Aires in 2014.
Brian Doidge is a Canadian Operations Director with over 30 years’ global experience in drilling operations. Prior to joining AP Groupe, Brian Doidge was Canadian Country Manager and operations manager for the Western United States for Saxon Energy Services, a SLB company.
Throughout his career Brian has held the position of oil company representative for various international operators including Husky Canada, PD Mexicana, Conoco Phillips, Imperial Oil / Exxon in the United States, Canada, Venezuela, and Mexico.
David Fernandez is senior executive, a Colombian national, living in Mexico for the last five years, with 22 experience in the global Upstream Oil and Gas industry. Since January 2015 he has been working as an Associate of AP in Mexico, having previously worked 20 years (1996-2014) at Schlumberger in various positions.
His last position as IPM Rigs Business Development and Technical Manager for Mexico (2012-December 2014). During this tenure, he managed Schlumberger IPM Regional projects with several oil and Gas upstream companies. Before his latest arrival in Mexico David was the Business Development Manager for land based drilling services for South America ( 2008 to 2012) based in Bogota, Colombia.
David has a Petroleum Engineering Degree from the U. National of Colombia and an MBA degree from Tech de Monterrey, Monterrey. He is fluent in English.
